Admission to Englesea Brook Chapel & Museum is free, but donations are very welcome. A charge is made for organised groups, of £4.00 per head. This includes refreshments, a talk and tour of the chapel and museum.

As well as an impressive array of exhibits, you will also find a shop at Englesea Brook. We stock a range of very attractive book reprints relating to various aspects of Methodist history, as well as traditional toys and games suitable for school children and a new range of items for adults.

Tea and coffee are available. Visitors are welcome to bring picnics which can be enjoyed on the site. Local pubs provide lunch and evening meals.

Toilets are located at the rear of the museum building.

Disabled access
There is wheelchair access to all areas of the Chapel and Museum. This is being very well used by people who previously have not been able to share our artefacts, exhibitions and fellowship. Everyone is most welcome. Do come along and meet us.

Book Sales

Our book sales have proved so popular that we now have a book sale every week. Over 25,000 second hand books are for sale at the former Hassall Road Methodist Church, Alsager, ST7 2HH. It is open every Friday (10.00-2.00)and Saturday (10.00-1.00).

New for 2017: Hassall Road will be open for the sale of books each Bank Holiday Monday (10.00-2pm.) throughout the year.

We are grateful to the Friends of Englesea Brook and volunteers who run the book sale each week. All proceeds from the sales go to support the work of Englesea Brook Chapel and Museum.
