Exciting accession! Invitation to special event, Saturday 19 November, 2.00-4.00
We are thrilled to have acquired a unique manuscript journal, kept by John Davison, Primitive Methodist minister, and son-in-law of William Clowes. The journal begins when he hears the news that he is being sent to Canada in 1846, and continues until 1880, shortly before his death, and the birth of the United Methodist Church in Canada.
To celebrate this important acquisition, we are inviting you to come along to a special event when you can see it for yourselves and our Museum Curator, Randle Knight, will talk about what treasures the Diary has revealed so far!
