On Saturday May 15th visitors to Englesea Brook can enjoy the battiest night around by participating in an all-age activity entitled Museums at Night: the Bats Take Flight. Local bat expert Ged Ryan will set the scene with a lively presentation on the curious lives of our nocturnal neighbours after which participants will venture outside with special bat-detecting equipment to meet the stars of the show.
The event starts at 8.00 p.m. and admission is free though donations for the museum and bat conservation work will be appreciated. To book places please get on the batphone and call 01270 820836 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks to John Cornell, neighbour and friend of Englesea Brook for the wonderfully moody photograh on this page that sets the scene.
